The area originally had 2 small goldfish ponds which we removed to excavate the area and lay a reinforced concrete base and construct pond surround using 9” hollow block walls, with reinforcement and infilled with concrete. Finished with a red brick face and blue brick header course.
The liner for the pond is a purpose-made, box welded, Epalyn liner. We also sourced and installed a fully automatic filtration system to include all plumbing and electrics which was hidden behind a brick screen to match the pond.
The surrounding path is a Saxon buff non-slip paving and the surrounding area was seeded to lawn. We have since been asked back to carry out some additional paving & brickwork.
Tony and Dan worked hard on the project, turning up through all different types of inclement weather. They both offered solutions during the build to help with my decision making and the final completion. Due to the ground being very wet, they will return in the spring to complete the surrounding groundwork. This work is now in the pipeline. Tony's silent partner, Jenny, kept me informed of all prices, which were satisfied by bank transfer at regular intervals.
